Tutorial: Use BRSTM Instead of BRSEQ
As you might know, Brawlbox and BrawlCrate do not support saving older versions
of BRSAR. Sadly almost all of the Wii Series games use an old version of BRSAR.
So I have found a temporary solution. Using BRSTM Instead of BRSAR.
I am going to use Ping Pong BRSAR from Wii Play as an example.
I'll have a hard time wording some of the things in this tutorial so I'll post images.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS EXACTLY HOW I DO IT IN THESE IMAGES
Open rp_Pnp_sound.brsar in Brawlcrate, Although this will work with any BRSAR file that you want to use.
This is just the BRSAR file that I am using for this tutorial.
Go into the edit tab and make all of the entires external
Add an external reference. This will prompt you to choose an external file
When this menu comes up, Choose the BGM01.brstm file. You can actually
choose whatever BRSTM file you want but for this tutorial, I'm using BGM01.brstm
After step 4 Navigate to this path in the BRSAR. This will always be different in every
BRSAR File. So you will have to figure out what each entry is.
After clicking on the Entry from step 5, Navigate to this menu on the right and click on Sound file.
Then scroll all the way down to the bottom and select "External" This is the BRSTM that you just
Copy all of these settings that I have in the picture below.
Except for the setting in the "SoundFile" Tab as you have
already edited it. Leave the "PlayerId" tab as is.
Copy these settings as well.
Save the file. It should play your custom BRSTM file in the game.
